Meet Opal…
Rescued from the streets of Barberton by a kind-hearted person, Opal found herself at an animal shelter. Very shy and worried, Opal just wanted to be held by the staff and reassured that everything was okay.
It quickly became clear that Opal can see, but she cannot hear. Her beautiful blue eyes connect with everyone she meets, but she cannot respond to verbal commands. While Opal may have a hearing impairment, she is far from broken.
Having the ability to give back is a wonderful trait, and deaf dogs have twice the opportunity to give. They rely on their person; they tend to stay close, watch for cues, and want to please - making them excellent, loyal companions.
Fully vetted and full of hope, this 4-year-old, 26-pound mixed-breed girl is eager to find a new family. Could that family be yours?
