As a larger breed dog, Rottweilers can live the same lifespan as small or medium dogs. It’s not uncommon for these dogs to live between 12 and 14 years with proper nutrition and regular vet care.
This breed has a tough reputation, but they are known for their calmness, confidence, and courage. Very loyal to their families, they make excellent family pets. Because this breed is highly intelligent, they are very trainable. When treated kindly and trained properly, they truly don’t want to disappoint their handlers.
