Pay It Forward For Pets - Appa

Meet precious Appa ❤️! Look at this baby face—at nearly 1 year old, he’s still a baby in our eyes.

The truth is, all dogs are “lifetime” babies because they depend on humans for survival daily. They need routine feedings and water each day. They require proper vet care for annual wellness and when they fall ill. Ideally, dogs need a varied level of exercise to stay healthy. Lastly, and just as importantly, they need love, touch, and to be valued. Meeting these needs depends on a human being present in their life.

Appa was seen being pushed out of a car door in front of Summit County Animal Control. In his confusion and fear, he immediately ran after the car as it sped away. He didn’t realize that his pet parents made a choice to abandon him, showing no concern for his future or well-being. All he knew was that the people in that car were “his people,” and he needed to get back to them.

Dogs bond and love deeply. They are highly feeling beings with intellect and emotions. Their love and loyalty are often underestimated—and they’re never disposable. They hurt just like we do, and they mourn the loss of loved ones too.

Let’s change Appa’s fate. Full-grown and approximately 60 pounds, what you see is what you get with this very young boy. Interested in adopting? Don’t delay—schedule your “meet and greet” today!
