Pay It Forward For Pets - Kiara

Meet Kiara… With too many stray dogs, pet parents must take steps to keep their dogs safe at home.

Containment ensures your dog won’t be hit by a car or leave permanently.

A fenced yard is ideal, but a securely installed leash works too.

Identification tags cost little and prevent euthanasia if your pet ends up in animal control.

Dogs can quickly become stressed in this environment, leading to bad outcomes.

Many dogs struggle when moving from a comfortable home to animal control, motivating us to return them home swiftly.

With current ID tags, most dogs are reunited with owners within 48 hours.

Kiara was found in the Walmart parking lot on Arlington Road in Green/Coventry.

She has a distinguishing feature that helps identify her – she came in without a back foot.

This may assist in connecting her with her owner.

Kiara is a red and white Siberian husky, weighing 42 pounds, and is about two years old.

It’s unclear if her missing foot is from an accident or a birth defect.

This sweet girl needs to return home or find an experienced Husky handler who can keep her safe.

She has a lot of living left to do.

Can she do it with you?
