Meet Chip… that smile! Those pearly white teeth! What a heartthrob!
We love this little dog, and we adore his name. It suits him perfectly.
He’s a true heart-stealer❤️, a staff favorite, and the definition of a “lapdog.”
This pup is thought to be a mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund.
At approximately one year old, our 22-pound “cutie-pa-tootie” has a lot of life ahead and is ready for his next home—and family.
Chip is an example of what you can find in a shelter, where we see every type of dog imaginable.
And they all deserve a safe and loving home.
Brought in as a stray, this tiny guy was found on the busy streets of downtown Akron.
We are grateful for the good Samaritan who got involved and brought Chip to safety at Summit County Animal Control.
This pint-sized pup would not have fared well if he encountered a moving car.
As a friendly reminder, an appropriately fitted collar with current identification information will help get your dog home fastest should they become lost; however, even that will not protect them from unfortunate accidents while on the streets.
We need to do better at keeping our pets safe at home. Containment is the law.
