The Guardians opened their series against the Mets with a 3-1 victory at Progressive Field. Ben Lively earned his third win of the year after striking out seven and allowing one run over five and two-thirds innings. Emmanuel Clase secured his 14th save of the season after pitching a scoreless top of the ninth. David Fry led the way at the plate after going one for two with a two-run single. Cleveland has won four straight and remains first in the AL Central at 31-and-17. The three-game set continues tonight.
