The City of Akron has reached settlement agreements in two use-of-force police lawsuits involving the city's police department.
The lawsuits stem from an incident in 2024.
One involved the body-slamming of Dierra Fields during a family dispute, and the other involved an officer shooting 15-year-old Tavion Koonce-Williams in the hand.
The terms of the settlements have not been released.
