In Canton, the Stark County prosecutor is handing off the case against two police officers charged in the death of Frank Tyson.
Tyson died while in custody in April of last year and his death was later ruled a homicide.
A grand jury approved indictments against Canton Police Officers Beau Schoenegge and Camden Burch on charges of reckless homicide.
County prosecutor Kyle Stone has recently asked that a special prosecutor be appointed.
The court is now appointing Marion County Prosecutor Ray Grogan to fill that role.
