Days after a woman was shot outside of a Merriman Valley business, the business has closed.
The 24-year-old victim was walking toward her car near the Empire Lounge around 2:30 a.m. Sunday when she was hit by gunfire.
It was the second shooting near the club since May.
The City of Akron has announced that it will not renew Empire's liquor permit, and the club's owner has stated that they will be closing for an indefinite period while they consider their next steps.
