Munroe Falls Councilman John Impellizzeri is stepping down from his post.
Impellizzeri is resigning as criticism continues to come his way for comments he made on social media following the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In a comment following the assassination, Impellizzeri said "the world is a better place now that he's gone."
Impellizzeri has submitted a letter to the mayor of Munroe Falls saying 'as requested, I officially resign. It has been an honor working for Munroe Falls.'
