A Portage County man is reporting that Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski recently threatened his life.
Will Lane is sharing video of a Friday encounter with the sheriff at a local convenience store where Zuchowski is heard telling him to enjoy what little time he has left and -- when asked if that was a threat -- saying that we're all getting closer to death.
The sheriff's office is responding to the matter with a statement that says in part that the video has been edited and that William Lane is a convicted felon who has been harassing Zuchowski and members of his department for years.
