High Levels Of Haloacetic Acids In Akron Drinking Water

A message is going out to thousands of Akron residents advising them of issues with the drinking water.

The advisory affects an estimated 6,600 households out of the 85,000 homes that receive their drinking water through the city's water system.

Recent testing shows high levels of haloacetic acids in the water.

The city reports that the findings indicate no health risks to customers, but impacted households are being notified by mail anyway.
