Two officers were left injured Monday after an incident in which a driver crashed into an Akron apartment building and two police cruisers.
The events began unfolding a little after 3:30 a.m. when investigators say that 31-year-old Mikal Gamble crashed into a building on Tate Terrace and then hit a police cruiser as he fled the scene.
They say Gamble later hit another cruiser before being pinned in by officers who took him into custody.
Gamble faces charges including felonious assault and assault on a law enforcement officer.
There has been no word on the condition of the injured officers.
