A Miami-Dade Transit bus driver shot and killed two passengers after an argument early Sunday morning (March 30) in Miami Gardens, Florida. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on a bus parked at Northwest Seventh Avenue and 183rd Street. According to Miami Gardens Police, the bus driver got into a verbal dispute with the two male passengers, which escalated to gunfire. The passengers were taken to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in critical condition and later died from their injuries.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, was detained by police for questioning. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, but police have described it as an isolated incident. Miami-Dade County prohibits bus drivers from carrying firearms, and the Department of Transportation and Public Works is cooperating with the investigation.
The police have not yet released the names of the victims or the driver. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances leading to the shooting.
