A proposed measure that would ban DEI initiatives at public colleges and universities is getting closer to becoming state law.

The Ohio House passed an amended version of Senate Bill One yesterday.

The legislation would prohibit diversity, equity, and inclusion practices for institutions of higher learning and would ban strikes among faculty members.

The Ohio Senate voted in favor of the bill last month but the amended version will need to pass another Senate vote before going to Governor DeWine's desk to potentially be signed into law.
