Summit County officials are warning residents about an ongoing scam.
They report that individuals are receiving calls from someone claiming they have missed jury duty and must now pay a fine.
Reports indicate that sometimes the caller becomes aggressive and that potential victims have received fake threats of arrest if they do not pay immediately.
Residents are advised that the Summit County Jury Commissioner's office will only contact jurors by mail and never demand any payment.
