Couple Charged In Child Endangerment Case Pleads Not Guilty

A New York State couple has been arraigned in connection with a local child endangerment case.

Police called to a Springfield Township Red Roof Inn Friday night and found an unresponsive one-year-old child and were able to restart her breathing through CPR.

The child was taken to a local hospital in critical condition with authorities noting bruising and other signs of severe trauma.

The child's father, 37-year-old Jason Santos, appeared in Akron Municipal Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty to charges including endangering children.

Santos's girlfriend, 36-year-old Jamilee Hunt, pleaded not guilty to the same charges, and bond for the defendants was set at $1 million each.
