Ohio Floor Company High School Athlete of the Week

Jocelyn Impiccinit Ravenna High School, November 18, 2024
Jocelyn Impiccini is a senior at Ravenna High School who has played volleyball, basketball and softball. Jocelyn suffered a season-ending injury this fall, but continued to support the volleyball team by attending every game and practice. She is hoping to return to full strength in time for softball season. Jocelyn is also a scholar athlete with a 3.9 G-P-A. 

Kevin Strickling, Garfield high School, November 11, 2024

Kevin Strickling is a senior on the Garfield Community Learning Center football team. As the starting quarterback this season, Kevin led the Golden Rams to their best record in three years. Kevin is considered by his coaches to be a team leader on and off the field and is also described as an outstanding student.

Brett Goodell, Tallmadge High School November 4, 2024

Brett Goodell is a Senior at Tallmadge High School who has been a starter on the varsity soccer team for four years. This fall, Brett broke the single season school record for goals scored. In addition to his accomplishments on the field, Brett is known at Tallmadge as a great student and a good person.

Hannah Swanson, Barberton High School October 21, 2024
Hannah Swanson is a Senior at Barberton High School and is on the Cross Country, Swimming and Track teams. Hannah placed 10th at the Suburban League Cross Country meet this fall and is considered by her coaches to be one of the leaders on the cross country team. In addition to helping the Magics succeed athletically, she maintains a 3.9 G-P-A. 

Lola Hall, St. Vincent-St. Mary October 14, 2024
Lola Hall is a senior goalkeeper on the St. Vincent-St Mary High School girls soccer team and was named first team all-district. Off the field she is the Vice President of Spanish club, President of Dance Marathon and serves on the president’s leadership council. Lola also plays softball and plans to continue her soccer career at the collegiate level. 

Noelle Dubnicka, Nordonia High School October 7, 2024
Noelle Dubnicka is a Senior on the Nordonia High School Soccer team and was one of the Knights’ top contributors prior to suffering a severe injury last year. Noelle battled back to regain a starting spot this season, but was injured again and will miss the rest of the season.In spite of her injuries, Noelle continues to support her teammates at every game and practice. 

Zoe Mort, Marlington High School September 23, 2024
Zoe Mort is a Senior on the Marlington High School golf team. Zoe qualified for the state meet as a freshman and holds several school records including the lowest single round score, lowest average score for a season, most birdies in a season and most eagles in a season. She plans to continue to golf career at the collegiate level. 

Braylan Rufener, Field High School - September 23, 2024
Braylan Rufener is a freshman on the Field High School football team who has earned a starting position this season. Braylan’s coaches say that while it is rare for a freshman to start on the football team, his dedication, resilience and work ethic have solidified his place both on offense and defense. Braylan is also performing well in the classroom. 

Avery Horning Alliance High School September 16, 2024
Avery Horning is a senior on the Alliance High School girls soccer team. Last year as a Junior, Avery led the Aviators to their first ever district championship and was named the Stark County Player of the Year. Avery is also on the girls wrestling team and won multiple tournaments last season before placing 6th in the state in the 115-pound weight class.

Joe Musleve Northwest High School September 9, 2024
Joe Musleve is a Senior at Northwest High School and has evolved into a major contributor on both the football and track teams. Joe has also dramatically improved as a student since arriving at Northwest two years ago. His coaches say Joe now understands the value of an education and may be able to compete athletically at the college level. 

Simon Hassler, Kent Roosevelt September 2, 2024
Simon Hassler is a junior on Kent the Roosevelt boys soccer team and scored the winning goal against Field last month with 19 seconds left, allowing Roosevelt to win 2-to-1.Simon is also on the track team, has a 4-point-2 G-P-A, is on Student Council and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Sam McPherson, Medina High School August 19, 2024
Sam McPherson is a senior at Medina Highland High School and reached the district meet as a pole vaulter last spring. Sam has been in swimming and diving, band and middle school football at Highland. He has a 3.88 G-P-A and helps with music, sound and announcing at a multitude of Highland athletic events.

Max Casto, Orrville High School August 12, 2024
Max Casto is a Senior at Orrville High School and is a member of both the boys basketball and tennis teams. Max’s coaches say he is a great teammate who always works hard. If there is a role that Max needs to play, he will do it. Max is also taking several college credit plus courses to get a jump on his college degree. 

Jackson Gula, Streetsboro - August 5, 2024
Jackson Gula is a Senior at Streetsboro High School and has been a starter on the varsity football team since his freshman year. Jackson has also been named all-conference three times and is a two year starter on the Rockets varsity basketball team for which he has won the iron man award twice. He is also a member of the National Honor Society and has maintained a G-P-A of over 4-point-oh.
