Video footage from a recent incident in which Akron police fatally shot a man has been released.
Footage of the August 17th incident that began at an East Avenue gas station was made available to the public on Saturday.
The video shows when officers initially stopped a U-Haul truck as it was beginning to pull away from a gas pump and officers told 54-year-old Michael Jones that he was being arrested while exiting the vehicle.
The vehicle can later be seen moving forward with officers hanging out of the door as gunshots are heard. Jones died at the scene.
