An Akron police officer has pleaded not guilty to child pornography charges.
Officials say Geoffrey Parker was taken into custody last Friday on charges of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
Parker has worked as an officer with the Akron Police Department for four years and has since been placed on administrative leave without pay.
Parker pleaded not guilty to all charges on Wednesday.
