Independent drivers who work in the Akron Public School District are weighing in on the district's new transportation plan.

Dozens of drivers, parents, and other supporters showed up to a public board meeting last night.

They were there to urge the district not to enter into a contract with Templeton Transportation LLC to transport special needs and homeless students to and from school.

The board opted to hold off on the contract and will seek legal counsel before making any decision.
