Akron Providing Free Meals To Children

The City of Akron is providing free meals to children this summer.

Beginning on June 10th and running through August 2nd, Akron's Summer Food Service Program will serve breakfast and lunch at various sites across the county to eligible children.

The meals will be prepared at Akron Public Schools and then will be distributed at various locations such as community centers.

To be eligible, a child must be under the age of 18 and be part of a household that is receiving food stamps or other food-related benefits.
