Wednesday brought what appeared to be an abrupt change of leadership at the University of Akron.
The university announced the immediate retirement of President Gary Miller and the installation of School of Business Dean R.J. Nemer as the new president.
Nemer has been the dean of U.A.'s School of Business since 2022.
