Construction is officially underway for Akron's new Reservoir Pool and Community Center.
City leaders hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the ten-million-dollar project.
The current pool will be remodeled and the community center will be demolished and a new one built.
Once completed, the pool will feature a 15-foot slide and 25-meter lap lanes, the bathhouse will be updated, there will be more green space and so much more.
Funding for the project comes from the American Rescue Plan Act.
