The investigation into Monday night's officer-involved shooting of a teenager in Goodyear Heights continues.
Akron police say an officer responding to a report of someone aiming a gun at homes in the area shot the boy in the arm leaving him with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities confirmed the gun found with the teen after he had been shot was fake.
The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on paid administrative leave as per department protocol.
