The union representing nurses at Cleveland Clinic Akron General has notified the hospital of an intent to strike.
The move comes during contract negotiations. The Professional Staff Nurses Association says their members are trying to secure concessions on their top priorities on fair labor practices and safe staffing.
A statement released by the hospital says that they are negotiating in good faith to achieve a mutually agreeable contract renewal.
The nurses have set March 6th through 8th as the potential strike dates.
