Summit County residents this year are again being encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees.
Trees that have been stripped of lights, decorations, tinsel, and stands can be dropped off at select Metro Parks from now through January 31st.

On average, about a thousand trees are recycled through the program each year and are turned into mulch to be used throughout the park system.
