Harvard University, the richest college on the planet, is getting ripped for saying it wants students to apply for food stamps.

In a school flier, the University reminded its grad students they can apply for food stamps, leading many on campus to wonder why, considering Harvard's endowment fund is over $50-billion.

A Harvard student tweeted that if Harvard were to pay one-fiftieth of its endowment, it would be able to pay every grad student about nine-thousand dollars over their current wages.

Meanwhile, Approximately 30% of Harvard's grad students are international, so they are ineligible to apply for SNAP anyway.
