A family in Michigan was left hopping mad after finding a live frog trapped inside the package of spinach they bought at the grocery store. “My daughter was screaming, she was like ‘Oh my God, it’s a frog,’ and I was like, ‘What?'” Amber Worrick said in an interview. “Just thank God I didn’t eat the frog.”
Worrick purchased the package of Earthbound Farms Organic Spinach at Meijer supermarket in Southfield, Michigan, and didn’t notice anything weird about the salad. And as for how this could’ve gone undetected, who knows? “On the package, it says three times washed, or something like triple washed,” Worrick says, adding, “I don’t believe that it was washed or else they would have caught a whole live frog.”
