Youngest Professional Athlete In The U.S. Is A 13-Year-Old Soccer Player

The youngest professional athlete in American team sports calls the Sacramento Republic FC home.

Da'vian Kimbrough is 13 and a member of the soccer club's youth development academy.

Now he’s signed his first professional contract. Kimbrough is now eligible to compete for a spot on the first team.

Per club policy, the terms of the contract were not disclosed.

In two academy seasons, he scored 61 goals in 81 appearances and was named Most Valuable Player in 2023 at a prestigious under-13 international tournament.

Kimbrough could make his pro debut on Saturday.
