U. Of Akron Closing Buildings Ahead Of Jayland Walker Grand Jury Decision

The University of Akron is closing some of its buildings ahead of a decision by a grand jury on if charges should be filed against any or all of the eight officers involved in the shooting death of Jayland Walker last summer.

The University says that as of noon on Friday, all classes in the Polsky Building and the College of Business will be moved to remote learning.

The two buildings will be closed indefinitely and swipe access will be disabled for both staff and students.
