Akron Runs Losing Streak To 18-Games With Blowout Loss To Western Michigan

The Akron Zips lost their 18th straight game with a 58-13 blowout loss to Western Michigan at home.

Akron took the lead in the first-quarter on a Zach Gibson pass to Michael Mathison but gave it back shortly after and was more than three scores down by the end of the second-quarter.

The Zips were led by running back Jeremiah Knight, who had 74-yards on the ground, and Gibson, who passed for 125-yards and a touchdown.

Akron will now try to stop their losing streak on November 10th when they play Ohio University in Athens.
