DeWine Seeks More Relief For Businesses

In a Wednesday press briefing, Governor Mike DeWine announced plans for a relief measure to assist businesses in Akron and around the state.

The plan calls for a five-billion dollar dividend from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.

Checks going out to businesses would range anywhere from hundreds of dollars to millions of dollars.

The governor said that the plan is about helping businesses to stay open and people to remain employed.

If approved, this would be the third and the largest dividend approved by the bureau this year to help businesses struggling during the pandemic.
