Orville-based J. M. Smucker Company announced plans on Monday to sell off a very well-known household name.
Smucker's, the jelly people, are selling off Crisco to B and G Foods, the people behind the jolly green giant and about fifty other brands.
The sale is a 550-million-dollar cash deal and includes manufacturing and warehouse properties in Cincinnati.
So far, there's been no word on what impact, if any, the sale will have on the Ohio employees who work at those facilities.
