MLB, Union Talks At Stalemate

MLB officially declined the union proposal for a 114-game season and said it would not reply with a counter, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal and Evan Drellich report.

Owners are mulling a truncated schedule, possibly 50 games, without fans.

Players continue to hold firm they receive prorated salaries with no more cuts.

Time is running short to reach an agreement for teams to begin the season in early July after a three-week spring training restart.
