CLEVELAND, OH -- Cleveland starter Hunter Gaddis struggled in his Major League debut, and was jumped on early and often. Houston newcomer Trey Mancini went yard on the rookie twice, the second one being a grand slam that blew the game wide open in the 3rd inning. The Astros took the comfortable lead and rode it all the way to the end, knocking off the Guardians by the final score of 8-3.

Amed Rosario got the Guardians on the board in the 1st inning on a line-drive homer over the 19-foot wall in left field. Luke Maile and former Astro Myles Straw combined for two RBI in the 7th inning but ended up being too little too late.

The Guardians and Astros will square off in game three of the four-game series on Saturday evening. The first pitch is set for 6:10 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
