Levert and Mitchell Combine for 82 Points in Stunning Win Over Celtics

BOSTON, MA -- The Cleveland Cavaliers found themselves in foul trouble early, as free throws piled up into a 13-point first half lead by the Celtics. Cleveland showed that they were not prepared to lay down at the TD Garden on Friday night, storming back and trimming the lead to single digits heading into the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers' backcourt of Donovan Mitchell and Caris Levert caught fire and were virtually unstoppable down the stretch, willing the Cavaliers to overtime. Cleveland relied heavily on the hot hand of Levert in overtime, with the red-hot winger scoring the last 11 points to lead his squad to a 132-123 victory over the Boston Celtics on the road.

Donovan 'Spida' Mitchell and Caris Levert combined for an eye-popping 82 points, with each of them netting a total of 41. The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to show their potential, gritting out a road win as 7-point underdogs without their all-star point guard Darius Garland, who missed his fourth consecutive game after suffering an eye injury.

Cleveland will get a well-earned day off on Saturday before hosting the New York Knicks on Sunday evening. Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm ET at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
