On the energy QB Deshaun Watson provided to the Browns offense’s huddle yesterday:

“I think he brought a great energy to the huddle. He was composed and confident out there in the huddle. He recited the play calls really well and commanded the huddle. Honestly as an offense as a whole, we didn’t play how we wanted to play, but that was a part of him coming back, and it is not only him; it takes all 11 to be successful in the game. This week, we are going to come back, get back to work and just focus on going 1-0 this week.”

On how adjusting to passes from Watson in practice over the past few weeks translated to gameday and continuing to work on that chemistry moving forward:

“Obviously, the ball is a little different, but in terms of overall, it doesn’t play too much of a role in terms of catching the ball. This week, we are just going to come back out, get back to work and just continue to build that chemistry. It takes a lot to build chemistry between pass catchers and pass throwers so we are just going to come back out and get back to work this week.”

On how chemistry between Watson and Browns skill players is progressing both on gameday and during the practice weeks:

“Yeah, I definitely think it was progressing throughout the whole game yesterday, and it is just going to continue throughout the weeks in practice and the more game reps and the more practice reps we get. I think it is only up from here.”

On if Watson’s could make a significant jump in the second start of the season:

“I think it could be really big. Obviously, he is extremely talented. In the past, he has played really well. I wouldn’t say expect it, but everyone that has some time off even just from the offseason, it takes a while to get back into the rhythm. He has been out for a while, and I think he is just continue to make huge strides because he is an extremely talented player.”
