An Akron man is pleading guilty to charges after he kidnapped his son.
The incident happened last October on Barbera Avenue, when 32-year-old Sean Eckel tried to punch the mother of his child before he took the child and fled to a home on Sylvan Avenue, leading to a standoff with SWAT and police.
Eckel has pleaded guilty to abduction and obstructing official business as part of a plea deal and has been sentenced to 18 months of probation.
