A purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo dog named Bobi had a birthday yesterday and claimed the title of the oldest canine ever recorded in history.
Bobi was born on May 11, 1992, making him 31 years old.
The breed has an average lifespan of 12 years, and Bobi’s mother lived to 18.
The geriatric good boy claimed the Guinness World Record for oldest dog in February, pulling ahead of a Chihuahua named Spike from Ohio.
