Anthony Scaramucci, Michael Avenatti Have No Plans for Cable Show Together

Anthony Scaramucci Says He Doesn't Have Time for TV Show

Anthony Scaramucci says he has no plans to team up with Stormy Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti for what he called a Crossfire-like cable news show.

Scaramucci told 710 WOR New York's Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning that he and Avenatti have too much going on in their respective careers to commit to doing a TV show.

"Number 1: Michael's not going to do because he's got clients that he's linked into," Scaramucci told the show. "Number 2: I've got clients — I'm back at SkyBridge. But I appreciate [the speculation]. I thought the picture was funny of me holding my hand up to his face...That was a classic pose. I figured, 'Okay, I'm about to take a picture with one of the President's enemies; what am I gonna do here?' I didn't want to be all smiley."

Scaramucci says he was approached about the show, but said it wasn't a genre in which he was interested.

"If it was going to happen, the show that they wanted was going to be like that Crossfire show," he said. "And I want to go back into the financial services genre of TV at this point."

TV agent Jay Sures reportedly discussed the potential show with executives at CNN and MSNBC. The concept behind the program is that Avenatti and Scaramucci would debate one another about politics and current events.

"I don't see the show materializing," Scaramucci continued. "It's not a show, frankly, that I can do and be at SkyBridge. And, guys, I started that company 13 years ago and I want to stay there and grow it at this point."

Avenatti in his role at counsel to Daniels has been one of President Donald Trump's most outspoken opponents in recent months. Scaramucci was fired from his role in the White House in fewer than two weeks on the job. He nonetheless has remained one of Trump's most ardent defenders.

“I have no interest in television right now,” Mr. Avenatti told the New York Times. “I enjoy my law practice and look forward to prevailing on behalf of my client Stormy Daniels."

Representatives for the cable networks and Sures did not comment on the rumor to the Times.
