A suspended Akron Public Schools staffer is resigning. Facility Services Department Director Steven Keenan was suspended earlier this week, with the school board considering termination.
Reports say Keenan acted without approval when he traded in 11 school-owned lawn mowers to purchase new ones, then personally bought the traded mowers from the vendor at a discount.
He later listed five of the mowers for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
Keenan says he has submitted his resignation.
