The Akron Public Schools board is suspending Facility Services Department Director Steven Keenan.
According to reports, Keenan acted without approval by trading in 11 lawn mowers owned by the school district to buy new ones, and he personally purchased the mowers traded in from the vendor at a discounted price.
Keenan then listed five of those mowers for sale on his Facebook Marketplace page.
The district is considering terminating Keenan.
