Teen Dies After Falling from Parade Trailer in Green Memorial Day Event
GREEN, Ohio – A tragic accident occurred during the Green Memorial Day parade when a 13-year-old boy fell from a parade trailer and suffered severe injuries.
According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office and the City of Green, the boy was riding on a trailer pulled by a pickup truck when he fell from the front of the vehicle. Green Fire personnel, who were on site for the parade, responded immediately and transported him to Akron Children’s Hospital. Officials later confirmed that the child had succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The victim was a student at North Canton City Schools. Authorities, including the Summit County Sheriff's Office and the Summit Metro Crash team, are actively investigating the incident. No further details are available at this time, and officials will provide updates as new information emerges.
