State agents are investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in Ravenna.
Police were dispatched at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to an apartment on Hazen Street after a caller reported finding someone sleeping on the floor with a gun.
After a first encounter with the man, police say he then tried to leave the apartment while using someone else as a human shield.
When the hostage broke free, the suspect reportedly aimed at officers who opened fire.
No officers were hurt and the suspect died at the scene.
