In New Philadelphia, an Akron man is in custody and facing charges after reportedly leading authorities in a vehicle pursuit.
Police tried to pull the 35-year-old driver over yesterday on I-77 for committing a lane violation but the driver would not stop -- instead cutting through a median before hitting a sign and then a guardrail on U.S. 250 and continuing off.
The pursuit ended when the driver came to a stop in a Walmart parking lot.
