An Akron police officer has pleaded guilty to child porn charges in Trumbull County.
Police say Officer Geoffrey Parker had taken a nude picture of a four-year-old child and shared it online leading to an investigation.
Parker was arrested in August and faced a trial scheduled to begin later this month.
On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to charges including pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor and gross sexual imposition.
Parker was placed on unpaid administrative leave from the Akron Police Department at the time of his arrest and there has been no update given on his employment status.
