A grand jury has indicted an Akron police officer on sex crimes charges.
Police say Officer Geoffrey Parker had taken a nude picture of a four-year-old child and shared it online leading to an investigation.
Parker was arrested in August on child porn charges and has now been indicted on counts including the illegal use of minors in nudity-oriented material or performance, gross sexual imposition, and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.
The officer had been placed on paid administrative leave pending an indictment and no update was provided on his status with the department.
