A group of Summit County first responders has been dispatched to North Carolina to aid with response and recovery efforts in the wake of Tropical Storm Debby.
The county's Type 1 Swiftwater Rescue Team is reportedly trained and equipped to take on all water rescue situations.
The 14-member team is made up of first responders from the Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Green, and Twinsburg fire departments.
