Akron police are reporting the arrest of a man wanted in connection with a Michigan homicide.
Officers spotted the suspect driving Monday morning on Copley Road and pulled him over.
They say they approached the vehicle with their guns drawn and found the suspect armed with a knife.
Police report they witnessed the man set himself on fire in the vehicle before he got out of the car.
Officers extinguished the flames and the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
